VARIETIES: 	Tailflower - A. andreanum
		Flamingo flower, pigtail plant - A. scherzerianum
				
MAXIMUM HEIGHT:	A. andreanum 2 - 3 feet
		A. scherzerianum 1 foot
		
BLOOMING:	Continuously

SUBSTRATE:	Equal parts of fir bark and coarse sphagnum moss. Set pot
		in a humidifying tray.
								
LIGHT: 		Bright indirect or curtain filtered sunlight.
					
TEMPERATURE: 	Night = 60 - 65°F (16 - 18°C)
		Day = 68°F (20°C) or higher

WATERING: 	Keep soil moist
		
FERTILIZING: 	Every two weeks

PROPAGATING:	Propagate from side shoots that have root structure.

NOTE: 		As plant grows, its root structure will grow on top of the soil.
		Cover these aerial roots with most sphagnum moss.
