VARIETIES: 	Amaryllis - H. hybrids
			Appleblossom - blush pink
			Beautiful lady - Salmon orange
			Fire Dance - Bright red
			Scarlet admiral - Deep scarlet
			White Giant - Snowy White		
MAXIMUM HEIGHT:	1 - 2 feet stems

BLOOMING:	Winter and spring. Keep plants cool and out of the sun while in bloom.
								
LIGHT: 		At least 4 hours of bright indirect sunlight per day.
		Keep out of direct sunlight while in bloom.
					
TEMPERATURE: 	Night = 60 - 65°F (16 - 18°C)
		Day = 70°F (21°C) or higher
		Keep plant slightly cooler while in bloom.

WATERING: 	After planting a bulb, water well once. Do not water again unitl
		you see the flower stalk begin to emerge. Then keep the soil moist until 
		the leaves begin to turn yellow and fall off. Reduce water while plant is
		dormant.

HUMIDITY:	Undemanding

FERTILIZING: 	Fertilize monthly starting one month before desired bloom. Do not
		fertilize after leaves have yellowed and fallen off.

PROPAGATION:	Propagate from small bulbs that develope beside the old one.
		You can also propagate from seed but it will take about 3-4 years
		for the bulb to reach a large enough size to produce any flowers.

REPOTTING:	Every 3 - 4 years.
