Narcissus

VARIETIES: 	 Daffodils, narcissus - N. hybrids
			Daffodils:	- King Alfred (Yellow flower)
					- Celebrity (White flower with yellow trumpet)
					- Mount Hood (White flower)
			Narcissus: Hardy tazettes:
					- Geranium (white flowers with orange scarlet centers)
					- Cheerfulness (creamy yellow double variety)
				   Tender tazettes:
					- Paperwhite (white flowers)
					- Soleil d'Or (yellow with orange cups)
					- Chinese Sacred Lily (white with golden yellow cups)
MAXIMUM HEIGHT:	10 - 12 inches		

BLOOMING:	Winter and spring. Bloom lasts about 10 days

SUBSTRATE:	Tender tazette Narcissus should be planted in a mixture of pebbles,
		pearl chips, sand, peat moss or bulb fiber. Plant them shallow such that
		the tip of the bulb is above the surface.
								
LIGHT: 		Bright indirect sunlight.
					
TEMPERATURE: 	Daffodils: 	Night = 40 - 45°F (4 - 7°C)
				Day = 68°F (20°C) or lower
		Narcissus:	Night = 55 - 60°F (13 - 16°C)
				Day = 68°F (20°C) or lower

CARE:		Keep the newly planted bulbs in a cool dark place until they are about
		4 inches tall. Then bring them out to a warmer place to bloom.
		Discared tender tazette narcissus after it has bloomed.

WATERING: 	Keep the mixture wet.
		
FERTILIZING: 	Do not fertilize.

PROPAGATING:	Do not attempt to propagate, it is too difficult. Buying new bulbs
		is much easier.
