VARIETIES: 	Easter Cactus - S. gaertneri also called Rhipsalidopsis gaertneri,
		Hybrid Chirstmas cactus - Hybrids of S. gaertneri and Zygocactus truncatus
		
MAXIMUM HEIGHT:	1 - 1.5 feet

BLOOMING:	December - February

SUBSTRATE:	2 parts peat moss, 1 part regular potting soil and 1 part sharp sand or perlite
								
LIGHT: 		Prefers indirect or curtain-filtered sunlight.
					
TEMPERATURE: 	To trigger blossoms, night temperature must be around 55°F (13°C)
		Therefore, put the plant outside in the fall and bring back indoors just
		before frost.
		Once the buds are present:
			Night = 60 - 70°F (16 - 21°C)
			Day = around 70°F (21°C)

WATERING: 	During bloom: Keep soil evenly moist.
		Otherwise keep the soil moderately dry

FERTILIZING: 	Fertilize every two weeks during bloom.
		Do not fertilize when plant is not in bloom

PROPAGATING:	Propagate from seed or stem cuttings at times when flower buds are not present.
