VARIETIES: 	Sprenger asparagus fern - A. densiflorus sprengerii also called
				A. sprengerii
		Foxtail asparagus fern - A. myersii also called A. densiflorus myersii
		Many-branched aparagus fern - A. myriocladus
		Asparagus fern - A. plumosus
		Twisted asparagus fern - A. retrofractus

MAXIMUM HEIGHT:	1-3 feet

SUBSTRATE:	1 part loam, 1 part peat moss or leaf mold, 1 part sharp sand.
		To each gallon pailfull of this mixture add:
		- 1½ teaspoons of 20% superphosphate
		- 1 tablespoon of ground lime-stone
		- 2 teaspoons of 5-10-5 fertilizer.
		OR! use gereral purpose potting soil.
						
LIGHT: 		Prefers bright indirect or curtain-filtered sunlight.
		Or where only artificial light is available, be sure to provide 
		at least 400 foot-candles.
			
TEMPERATURE: 	Night = 50 - 55°F (10 - 13°C)
		Day = 68 - 72°F (20 - 22°C)

WATERING: 	Keep soil barely moist at all times.
		
FERTILIZING: 	Wait 4 - 6 months to fertilize new plants, 
		Mature plants - fertilize at 3 - 4 month intervals with standard house-
			plant fertilizer

PROPAGATING:	Propagate at any season by dividing the thick roots of the mature plant.
		Cut the plant off at soil level and replant. Allow all new growth to emerge.

REPOTTING:	Any season.
