'Striped inch plant'

VARIETIES: 	Striped inch plant - C. elegans, also called Setcreasea striata
		This plant is closely related to the Wandering Jew (Tradescantia).

MAXIMUM HEIGHT:	Trailing plant with 1-2 inch leaves.

SUBSTRATE:	1 part loam, 1 part peat moss or leaf mold, 1 part sharp sand.
		To each gallon pailfull of this mixture add: 
		- 1½ teaspoons of 20% superphosphate
		- 1 tablespoon of ground lime-stone
		- 2 teaspoons of 5-10-5 fertilizer.
		OR! use general purpose potting soil
						
LIGHT: 		Bright indirect sunlight. Or more than 400 foot-candles of 
		artifical light.
			
TEMPERATURE: 	Night = 50 - 55°F (10 - 13°C)
		Day = 68 - 72°F (20 - 22°C)

WATERING: 	Keep soil barely moist at all times.

FERTILIZING: 	Do not fertilize newly purchased plants for 4 - 6 months.
		Mature plants - fertilize at 3 - 4 month intervals.

PROPAGATING:	Propagate from stem cuttings at any season.

REPOTTING:	Any season.
