VARIETIES: 	Common coleus - C. blumei
		Rehnelt coleus - C. rehneltianus
				-->Lord Falmouth, pink and red
				-->Red Trailing Queen, purple, red and green
				-->Trailing Queen, red, yellow and purple
				
MAXIMUM HEIGHT:	2-3 feet

SUBSTRATE:	All do well in plain water.
		1 part loam, 1 part peat moss or leaf mold, 1 part sharp sand.
		To each gallon pailfull of this mixture add:
		- 1½ teaspoons of 20% superphosphate
		- 1 tablespoon of ground lime-stone
		- 2 teaspoons of 5-10-5 fertilizer.
		OR! use general all purpose potting soil
								
LIGHT: 		4 or more hours of direct sunlight.
		Or where only artificial light is available, be sure to provide 
		at least 800 foot-candles for over 12 hours per day.
			
TEMPERATURE: 	Night = 65 - 70°F (18 - 21°C)
		Day = 75 - 85°F (24 - 29°C)

WATERING: 	Keep soil barely moist at all times.

FERTILIZING: 	Wait 6 months to fertilize new plants, 
		Mature plants - fertilize at 3 month intervals by diluting standard
		house-plant fertilizer to half the suggested minimum strength recommended
		on the label.

PROPAGATING:	Propagate from stem cuttings at any season.
