VARIETIES: 	Milk-striped, dragon bones - E. lactea
		Corncob euphorbia - E. millaris
		Crown of thorns - E. milii splendens
		Basket-ball euphorbia - E. obesa
		Calico hearts, leopard's spots - A. maculatus

SUBSTRATE:	1 part loam, 1 part leaf mold, 1 part sharp sand and 1/2 part
		crushed charcoal.
		OR
		Use a mixture of equal parts of a packaged general-purpose potting 
		soil and sharp sand.
		To each of these mixtures you use, add 1 tablespoon of ground 
		lime-stone and 1 tablespoon of bone meal.
						
LIGHT: 		Prefers direct sunlight for more that 4 hours per day.
		Or where artificial and natural light average 1000 foot-candles over 12
		hours a day.
		But will grow fairly well in bright indirect light
	
TEMPERATURE: 	Night = 55 - 65°F (13 - 18°C)
		Day = 70 - 80°F (21 - 27°C)

WATERING: 	Spring - Fall: Allow soil to soil to become moderately dry between
		thorough waterings.
		Winter: Water only enough to prevent the leaves from shriveling.

FERTILIZING: 	Wait 1 year months to fertilize new plants, 
		Mature plants - fertilize once a year by diluting to half the minimum
			strength recommended on the label of a standard house plant
			fertilizer.

PROPAGATING:	Basket-ball euphorbia from seed in any season. All others can
		be started in spring and summer from stem cuttings.
