VARIETIES: 	Freckle face, pink polka dot - H. phyllostachya, also called 
			H. sanguinolenta and Eranthemum sanguinolentum
		
MAXIMUM HEIGHT:	1 - 2 feet

SUBSTRATE:	1 part peat moss or leaf mold, 1 part vermiculite
		To each pail full of above mixture, add:
		- 1½ teaspoons of 20% superphosphate
		- 1 tablespoon of ground lime-stone
		- 2 teaspoons of 5-10-5 fertilizer
		Otherwise, use a potting soil specially formulated for African violets.
						
LIGHT: 		Prefers bright indirect curtain filtered sunlight.
		Or where only artificial is available, provide at least 400 foot-candles.
	
TEMPERATURE: 	Night = 65 - 70°F (18 - 21°C)
		Day = 75 - 85°F  (24 - 29°C)

WATERING: 	Soil should be barely moist at all times.

FERTILIZING: 	Do not fertilize

PROPAGATING:	Propagate at any season from stem cuttings.
