VARIETIES: 	Panda plant, pussy ears -  K. tomentosa
		Chandelier plant - K. delagonensis, also called  K. tubiflora
				and  Bryophyllum tubiflorum
		Devil's backbone, Mexican hat plant -  K. daigremontiana, also called
				 Bryophyllum daigremontianum
		Majestic velvet -  K. beharensis
		Penwiper plant - K. marmorata
		
MAXIMUM HEIGHT:	Panda plant:	2 feet, but commonly seen as 6 - 8 inches
		Chandelier plant: 20 inches
		Devil's backbone: 2½ feet
		Majestic velvet: 4 feet
		Penwiper plant:	10 - 15 inches

SUBSTRATE:	1 part loam, 1 part peat moss or leaf mold, 1 part sharp sand and
		½ part crushed charcoal.
		OR! use a mixture of equal parts potting soil and sharp sand.
		To each gallon pailfull of either mixture add: 
		- 1 tablespoon of ground bone meal
		- 1 tablespoon of ground lime-stone
						
LIGHT: 		4 or more hours of direct sunlight. Or, where only artificial
		ligth is available, provide at least 1000 foot candles over a 12 hour period.
		Will also do well in curtain filtered/indirect sunlight.
			
TEMPERATURE: 	Night = 50 - 55°F (10 - 13°C)
		Day = 68 - 72°F (20 - 22°C)
		
WATERING: 	Allow soil to become almost dry between thorough waterings.

FERTILIZING: 	Wait 6 months before fertilizing newly purchased plants.
		Mature plants - fertilize every 6 months. 

PROPAGATING:	Propagate at any season from leaf or stem cuttings.

REPOTTING:	Any season.
