VARIETIES: 	Parlor Ivy, German ivy - S. mikanioides, now called Delairea odorata
					S. macroglossus
					S. rowleyanus
		
MAXIMUM HEIGHT:	Trailing plant with 1-3 inch leaves (Parlor Ivy), or pea-like leaves on a
		a string (S. rowleyanus)

SUBSTRATE:	1 part loam, 1 part peat moss or leaf mold, 1 part sharp sand.
		To each gallon pailfull of this mixture add:
		- 1½ teaspoons of 20% superphosphate
		- 1 tablespoon of ground lime-stone
		- 2 teaspoons of 5-10-5 fertilizer.
		OR! use general purpose potting soil.
						
LIGHT: 		Prefers bright indirect or curtain-filtered sunlight.
		Or where only artificial light is available, be sure to provide 
		at least 400 foot-candles.
		S. rowleyanus should be watered sparingly from spring through fall, 
		in winter the soil should be almost dry.
		
TEMPERATURE: 	Night = 55 - 65°F (13 - 18°C)
		Day = 68 - 72°F (20 - 22°C)
		Winter temperature minimum = 45°F (7°C)

WATERING: 	Keep the soil barely moist at all times.
		For S. rowleyanus, water freely from spring-fall,

HMIDITY:	Mist occasionally. S. rowleyanus will tolerate dry air.
		
FERTILIZING: 	Wait 3-4 months to fertilize new plants, 
		Mature plants - fertilize at 2 month intervals using standard house
			plant fertilizer diluted to half of its recommended strength.
			
PROPAGATING:	Propagate any season by cutting off growing stems. This will also 
		encourage the existing plant to be more full.

REPOTTING:	Any season.
